Default Career change: CAPT Program

I'm looking into the CAPT Program in Palm Beach, FL. Does anyone have any experience or insight into this specific program? I'm currently a pro musician looking to fulfill my dream of being a pilot. Just trying to figure out the best way to go about it. Thanks for any comments!

1st off, Welcome to JC. There is a wealth of knowledge here both pro and con to about everything you could ask. You are new and may not be aware of the search function, but here you go:

CAPT Program

You will find quite a bit of valuable info in these threads. The program used to be run by Embry-Riddle until it was sold off. I am not sure who is running it now, but it is not viewed here as a favorable method to achieve your goals.

Take a read through the search and ask away.

Once again, Welcome!!

This ought to be a good read tomorrow when I wake up...in the afternoon!!!

Avoid CAPT...there are other ways into this industry. I know, you're in a rush and seniority is everything, but slow down, enjoy the ride, and build quality experience with as little debt as possible.

Hopefully that CAPT thread edumacated you a little bit.

Good luck and ask away if you have any other questions...

Oh yeah, and welcome aboard!!

Since Shawn Raker is running the program, I can't in good conscious say I'm a fan.

He's the gentleman I wrestled with while he was at the helm of New Business Development at Comair Academy back in the day.

Never apologized.
