|  Over before it began... Well, I found out that a med that I was prescribed is a disqualifier for a medical certificate. While it sucks to find this out, at least I found out before spending any money. I suppose there is a silver lining in all this somewhere. I'm just having a hard time seeing it. At least I still have FS 2004. Ya'll have a good 'un  732_fan |

| Re: Over before it began... Precisely the reason I don't take any prescribed meds, not that I need them but i've had docs try to get me on anxiety, depression, this, that, etc., it's all BS I said. I told them "The only therapy I need is aviation"

| Re: Over before it began... Well, everything happens for a reason. I could try to go for a special issuance once I get off the med. I weighed everything out and talked with my doc and the wife. I'm gonna get from behind this desk, get back behind the wheel of a Crown Vic, and go out and try to save the world like I used to  . I'd still like to hang out in here from time to time though....that is, if you guys dont mind having the "po-lice" hanging around. Well, that's it for now. I have an appt. with the Lt. at one of the local agencies. Wish me luck |

If thats the case...at least go learn to fly and who cares if you need to have an instructor w/you, hours are hours no matter how you get em. My gramps (god rest his soul) had a bad ticker and couldn't get a medical...he was a stubborn ol bastard and wouldn't take no for an answer. That DIP##### bought a plane, took enough lessons to solo and was off into the wild blue yonder logging lots of hours in kind of a kamikaze fashion with no regard for safety. It wasn't until years later when I learned to fly that I realized what a moron he actually was for doing the things he did and how little he actually knew about flying.
