| Do you think a pilot needs to be actively flying (instructing, po-dunk cargo, etc.) to get a job with regional, corp. or charter? Just wondering what my chances are of getting a flying job if I'm not flying at a job. Know what I mean?? |

| nope, I do it parttime and had interview offers and a job offer at a 121 carrier. It can be done but you have to study hard and prepare for the 121 environment. 3green |

| You must have "recent flight experience" to be accepted at NetJets. Even if you are a 20,000 hour furloughee. |

I wasn't actively flying for about 3 months when I got hired. Luckily the last month I flew I flew quite a bit and was able to meet the 100hrs in 6 months. For me I hadn't flown an airplane in almost 4 months when I took my first flight on IOE. Yipes!! But just like riding a bike, I didn't lag behind much. | |
