| I know in the past there have been some posts regarding Utah Valley State and Embry Riddle (for online classes). I have not seen much recently and was wondering if anyone has had any factual information on the two. Regarding difficulty in working with their personel, taking the classes, transfering credit hours, etc. Dumb question but, when the degree is achieved is it a degree that you would receive just as if you were on campus or does it denote that you took the classes online? Thanks! |

UVSC: Seemed easier to work with. Classes were easier, less homework. It seemed like they made transferring of Gen Ed credits and previous flight experience relatively easy. ER: Difficult classwork (I guess you could say challenging). Students had a hard time working, flying, and taking classes. They were a bit more difficult with credit transfers. Also more expensive. I should say that now I am biased as my flight school is affiliated with UVSC. However, my experience with ER was prior to this affiliation. | |

| Junior Member | I went to ERAU so I'll say what I know. I took most of my classes in the old fashion way...in a classroom. However, I had to take about four classes online (Because there were not offerred at the extended campust I was attending to) and they were very challenging. Not to mention that it was very frustating wating to get a quick response. Sometimes it took as long as 5 to 6 days. By the time you get your questions answered, you've already forgotten about them.. I would suggest that if you can, try to take as little online classes as possible. I'm not saying that online classes are no good, but there are some classes that definetily don't need to be taken online. |
