| Is it a competitive market? Is there a demand for pilots? If so, how much and how long will the markets will be like this? It was brought to my attention that, is there a high bias when come to getting a job for an airline or commercial cargo company? |

| Old Skool | Jobs are very competative right now. No one is hiring warm bodies to fill seats. There is no shortage of pilots and there never will be. It is a long hard road to get into a good flying position. Only those that are extremely dedicated will make it. If you are going into because you think it is cool or a way to get rich quick forget it. |

| In the words of the famous KIT DARBY...Pilot jobs are plentiful however pilots will have to accept that pay and working working coniditions will not be what they used to be. |

| Old Skool | FOR GODSAKE DON'T BUY YOUR JOB. (i.e. Comair Academy, Custom Air Transport, etc.) Don't under estimate the experience and knowledge you gain by working your way to the regionals, you can't buy experience or judgement. Skymates is a decent school from what I have been told. Talk to John Herreshoff about it he went there and so have several other here. |
