Quite proud of this one because when the student first came to me, he described how he was anxious about flying and found it hard to cope with airline travel. And now here he is, after 26 hours of dual instruction, flying his first solo. His landings looked awesome too! I love this CFI-ing!

Awesome! I love soloing people, although it can be a bit nerve wracking. Had my first, "I don't even need to watch this guy - I could go grab coffee" solo about month ago... I'm sure that's how my flight instructor felt.

| Gone West | Honestly I think after the first few I wasn't nervous anymore. Maybe I was better at teaching them, or maybe I just realized me stressing would have no bearing on the flight anyway so why sit there and stare at the sky.

Congrats! I found that after the first few solos it's a lot less nerveracking.

Congrats! It does get easier with time. I soloed roughly 20 students (more than actually)... the first few are more 'nerveracking' than the last dozen or two. Trust your instincts/abilities and it gets easier. Congrats!
