| Hello; I am trying to figure out how far out does the airport vicinity extend? I have been looking in the FAR/AIM but have been unsucessful. |

| Everything a TAF says is for a 5 sm radius around the airport. If it says "VC" it's 5-10 just like a METAR.

| I think vicinity means 10 miles from the airport?? |

| Within 5 miles is AT the airport, 5-10 is in the vicinity.
