If you have a plane with dual Nav/Comms and no DME or IFR GPS and no ADF, are the marker beacons in the plane required to work to fly an ILS? Thanks |

No, unless (obviously) it was dme/adf/etc required. Outer marker maybe substituted with compasslocator, par, asr, dme, vor, or ndb |

OTOH, if the IAF or FAF is a marker beacon and the equipment to detect them in your plane is broken, you can still legally fly the ILS if the IAF is a co-located LOM (compass locator and marker beacon) and you have ADF equipment in your plane. Otherwise, you cannot legally fly the ILS. At least, that is my understanding.
