I don't think there is any way for your potential employer to see what you scored on the written exam, so it really shouldn't be a problem.

What is possible is that your examiner may really drill you during the oral exam if you scored that low on the written.

Thats not true in any shape or form!! Yes your employer can get your test results by requesting a copy of your pilot records thru the FAA in OKC, but
really I'v never scored higher than an 88 on any of my writtens and to believe that you have to score a 90 or above to get a flying job is crazy.
When your in that interview for that regional job its you that going to sell yourself as the best canidate for the job, not your written results.

Like our Chief Flight Instructor says, 70% is a perfect score! Anything more than that, you tried too hard. I laughed when I heard that, the basic reasoning is as long as you pass your written, who cares. You passed. The only down side is that an examiner may look at your test score and debate how hard to drill you or not. I haven't had one really ask me about my score or anything, mostly I've had them go by whether I knew the stuff or not. But as far as the flying job is concerned, I've never heard of anywhere requiring a certain score on your written. If they want to take the time to look up your written score, they are probably being too picky. You should be able to sell yourself in that interview and be done with it.

Some people aren't the best at taking written tests. Using only that for a way to know how knowledgeable someone is is not always accurate and should not be used as the only reason to decline someone from a job. Now if they failed their check ride two or three times this would be a different ballgame.

Study to be a 100% teacher.

No matter how good of a teacher you are, some of your information transfered to the student will be lost.

If you attempt to be an 80% teacher of knowledge, your students will end up - on best - with only 60% of that knowledge.

If you attempt to give it all 100%, your students will end up closer to the 80-85% range if not more.

So in the end, your written scores don't meant #### to anyone but you. Just study hard, and go and take it. Make sure you pass.

no.

things have changed since i first flew professionally 15 years ago. i think today for some regionals you need a warm body (you're breathing..they slip a mirror under your nose instead of a sim ride), a commercial/multi and....anything i missed?
