Default X-C time for Comm License

Ok, I have a flight in my log book that I took with an instructor. It was a day VFR more then 100nm. The flight was primarily due to training in a new aircraft type (switched to a Mooney from a 150). However, I was in the middle of my IR training so the cfi wrote FAR 61.65 req. in the flight details. Even though I already had more then enough X-C time (for the IR).
So the question is, Can I use this as my 100nm 2 hour day VFR dual flight req. for the Commercial?

If you did any sim instrument then no, it would not qualify. If it was strictly visual then why not.

You'll just find some new goofy questions to ask. I know I always do.

Same, it seems like there is always that student with a crazy logbook, trying to count something that is probably legit, but logged all wrong. I have an instrument student that went from here to Florida with his last instructor, all under IFR, a lot of it in IMC and guess what, the instructor did not log the required three approaches on any of the 30 hours there and back. Student swears he did them, I believe him, but its not there in the log book.

So then write it in. Theres nothing against changing an entry in a logbook as long as its all true.

I'd get in touch with the CFI on that one. It may have simply been an oversight at the end of a long day, or the CFI didn't (for some reason) consider that whole flight as an instructional one. I generally agree with butt about changes, but am not particularly comfortable with changes to the log entries that contain the "description of the training given, the length of the training lesson, and the authorized instructor's signature, certificate number, and certificate expiration date"

I am not writing anything in a log book that I did not witness. I already told my student to do that, but he cant remember where they were or what type. This trip was nearly a year ago.

I tried that, but the former instructor would not return calls. One of those super awesome ones from another flight school here in Utah Valley. They are pissed at the student because the student fired them (and rightly so); this one has been an uphill battle the whole way.

The solution to the problem was to go do the cross country again, which we did a week ago.
