I'm really itching to transfer my time over to a electronic/e-book , and to keep the old paper logbook for endorsements. While not in horrible shape (coffee stains, half eaten pages thanks to the dog), it would be much more accurate/neater to keep an e-book and print out the time on pages that are collated and placed into binder. Has anyone done this? any advice on software platforms? thanks |

I use a free online logbook (www.logshare.com) After you enter in your flights you are able to export the data into an excel spreadsheet. I started using it about 100 hours in to my training. The grueling part was typing in all of those flights. However, its real easy to calculate flight time- you set the parameters - it does the math! When I am done instructing for the day I enter all my flights online and then update my logbook at the end of the week. |

I use it as well, but I started with 5 hours, so I'm pretty caught up. I also helped a friend place her hours into logshare. Two days to get 800 hours logged, but we are complete. I utilize both logshare and iPilot. |
