Hi everyone, I am currently a CFI and I will be moving to the Orlando area shortly. I was wondering if any of you could point me to a great flight school in the area to teach at. Thanks! |

You can ##### yourself out to the Delta Connection Academy for 12 bucks an hour for only logged stuff. They pay the same for ground work too. The hours aren't THAT bad. The aircraft are heaps, but they should be getting new ones before 2010. Expect to fly average 45-60 hrs a month with them and your days will be minimum 8 hrs. 2 days off a week. If you didn't do training with them, expect to sign a year contract for the right to work with them and get the interview. (Not that you need this these days) All kidding aside, one of the better places to teach at that will actually keep you in the air is Air Orlando (KORL). Nice people, you'll pay some dues at first answering the phones, but you'll fly a lot with them. Another option is Phoenix in daytona. The drive might not make it work for you.

Thanks for the info! I actualy ended up getting a interview date for next week with Air Orlando. I was wondering if you had any insight on the 20 question test and sim check. Also If you knew what they pay. Thanks, Jon |

if your hired from the outside DCA doesn't really make you sign a year contract, its a year if you want the bridge program for free. If you have enough time you get a salary as opposed to the $12 now.

There always looking for instructors expecially career IPs. The pay and benefits here are 1.5 times what I know that you get at Phoenix East.
