Default TSA Security Training for Instructors

I was wondering if the TSA course for security training only applys to large flight schools, or if it applies to all instructors. I've heard rumors of FAA inspectors performing audits of flight schools at FBO's and giving citations if instructors aren't compliant with this training, any comments?

Wow, did not know that there was required training for this… interesting slide show. My guess is that the FAA would probably want every flight school to go through with it.

I also found it interesting that the photos are from ERAU with their aircraft, and some of the things mentioned are quite broad. Sounds like you shouldn’t go to a new airport and just hang-out, checking out the scene could be suspicious activity. Also, the photo of the person taking a photo through the fence, man that guy is up to no good.

Well, In these days of tightened security, I guess this is what we have to look out for.

Its required at my school, but we train exclusively international students. Not sure if its required for everyone else, but it couldn't hurt. The training only takes about 20 minutes to complete.

The flight school that I work for requires this to be completed before any instruction is given.

The TSA annual secuirity training requirement applies to every flight school and every individual insrtuctor - even if all you do is freelance in others airplanes.
