Default First student solo!

I signed off my first solo student today after about 145 hours of being a CFI. It was great! Most of my students thus far have been students with prior training who are past solo, but this guy was the first that I flew with from day one. Interesting thing is, I've got two more that are ready to go as soon as we get good weather! Possibly one tomorrow!! Feels great! I taught someone how to fly!

I think that was one of the best days of flying that I have had... Kinda funny that I wasn't even flying when it happened.

Congratulations! Now you just have to sign him off.

If the weather cooperates I should have my first student solo this week. I can't wait! He was ready last week with all the excellent wx we had, but didn't have his SP certificate yet.

Well, I almost had solo number two on Friday, but I took the safe road and waited due to low visibility and possibly deteriorating conditions. It was borderline, and looking back in hindsight it would have been fine, but I didn't want to risk having a very fast fog sweep in on us, which has happened. Oh well, better safe than sorry. I'll get him up this week hopefully!

Congratulations. I was more nervous than my student when I first solo one of my students.
