hey i don't know if there is another site out there, but i decided to copy ERAU so if i become a CFI, i can tell my students to check the wx here http://takeoff.to/wx if there is a better site let me know, and if this one can use changes, let me know as well.

The one I usually use is noaa.gov (aviation section of course). I would like to subscribe to duats though (duats.com)...duats and calling the local fss for a briefing are the only two (and maybe duat too) that satisfy the requirement of obtaining a wx briefing prior to "...flight under IFR or a flight not in the vicinity of an airport..." (91.103, preflight action)

Also, alot of times, a flight school or FBO will have a computer based weather information service which they subscribe to for pilot use. For example, the FBO I fly out of uses a program called "Aviation Sentry." Just remember that you need to satisfy the requirements of 91.103. And please someone correct me if im wrong about the services being "legal" for this FAR.

much of the same information as the one you listed, but it runs much faster. that and it does not get you redirected anywhere when clicking. Not to big a fan of clilcking one place adn getting the whole redirect deal cooking.

I have always wondered why Adds isn't a legal way of getting wx info. I mean, it is put out by the government and its the same info you get from the briefer.

Is it because they have no way to prove that you did or didn't do a good weather check before your flight?

For IFR flights it is a little different, you are already talking to the briefer to file so you may as well get the wx while you are with them.

Not sure if I am a fan yet, I was used to the old version i guess?

haha, well thats where all mine link to. i see your dislikes, but it takes me forever to find the wx depiction and k index charts, so i just put them all on page.
