Just a quick question... filling out the 8710 for CFI renewal and haven't totalled my time in about 10 months. Do I need to list my hours on a CFI Renewal 8710? If so... it will be a long night with the calculator! ![]() Thanks! Bob

From the 8710 instructions: Quote:
Personally, since you clearly meet the requirements for the certificate, I wouldn't worry about updating the times.

One of the best reasons for filling out the flight time totals on an 8710 is in the event of a lost logbook. It becomes a good starting point.

Just renewed today based on "Activity" within the previous 24 months. I met the FAA at my local airport, it took 5 minutes, and we were done. 24 more months to go. The official answer to my question above is... As Lloyd was saying, if your renewing you clearly meet the hours requirements so... You do not need to list your hours. Bob

I renewed back in Feb. based on Gold Seal. I just put in total time and a couple of other figures so there would be a benchmark if I lost my logbook. Chris |
