Default Currency Requirements

alright i have a question. i've asked about 8 people including flight instructors and people that i work with at the tutor lab and 4 thinks one way and 4 think the other way.

So here it is, you haven't flown in 4 months and you want to get current to fly passengers, so you have to do 3 takeoffs and landings, pretty easy. Now say you do 3 full stop landing at night, does that count for day.

I argue there is no such thing as day currency just total landings. so if you do the night takeoff and landings then you are current during the day.

whats your opinions? and and we even called AOPA and they agreed what with i said.

If you do them at night, they satisfy the day requirement.

Yep, they count. Just because the flights are at night and full stop doesn't mean they are less valid than daytime touch & gos.

All ya gotta do is read the reg. Does it say the landings for the day currency have to be in the daytime? I think not.

I can't believe there is a misinterpretation of this reg.

Pretty clear cut to me.
