Default Cool Storm over CPS

Cool cold front ran through the KC area a few days ago, it was a dynamic enough system to get all the folks here at CPS out for a look see.

I get a kick out of the Baron that fly's through at around 5 seconds...look fast cause it's time lapse.

Previously, I've always time lapsed with video, I've never tried it with the 40D, but this guy has it worked out.

The G9 has a time lapse button that does everything for you. Makes it a no brainer.

Let me just say, your really lucky you got to train there. I've heard lots of good things.

Cool vid. Nice to see it in the bigger screen ,that was one wicked storm. It was even worse just a little north at the airport. I think i made it out of CPS parking lost with my cfi books about a minute before it started pouring.

Congrats to Paul for passing his CSEL add-on today. In under 2 months, he has done his IR, CMEL, and CSEL with us. Great job!

Holy crap, now thats what I call dedication! Thats dedication from both Paul and CPS. Congrats to both!!

Whats next? Any instructor ratings insight?

Hey Michael, ever thought about creating a course on "How to run a flight school"? It would sure come in handy for at least one sponsor.

In reality, I'd love to have a course about maintaining certain service standards in aviation training as well as helping schools increase efficiency, and by doing that, revenue. I could write a book on the subject of owning a flight school. I think I did some things well, and other things, not so well. But that is business. Of course, the next to last chapter of the book would be named "How not to go bankrupt and steal all of your students' borrowed money" and the next chapter would be "How to sell your flight school and go back to being a normal flight instructor".....

Thanks, it sure wasn't easy, but now I have the means with which to keep on learning...

Negatory on the CFI stuff, although I am married to a teacher and do think the education aspect of CFI'ing would be a blast and I'd love to do it some day. But I just can't see the financial sense in it up AK way at the moment. Only 600,000 head of us up here, so not as many folk to train as there are in other parts of the country making for a marginal chance to see ROI.

On the other hand if Michael brought the crew up and opened an accelerated AK school....
