| I was wondering if pursing a degree in business would be a good alternative, other than aviation. Also, has anyone ever heard of Everglades University-Sarasota campus? If so, how is it? |

I have heard of that University. I have not had any personal dealings with the university. Michael | |

| I am a HUGE proponent of getting a non-aviation degree. Just makes sense IMHO. Not to mention, it might give you some background/skills to run a side business once at a 121 carrier ![]()

| I would have to agree with the above posts that getting a business degree is an excellent plan. I was attending an aviation university 5 years ago when I realized that a 4 year aviation degree was pretty much worthless outside of aviation. I transferred to a better school and have recently earned my business degree with an accounting concentration. I think this will help me in the future in aviation if I choose to run my own small company. It also just comes in handy to understand the financial sides of companies that the average person doesn't really know much about. |

Remember, the carriers who require 4 year degrees do not specify what the degree needs to be in, so you may as well have something that will provide some sort of fail-safe in case you ever need it. |
