Default 141 Certification

After meeting with the FAA this morning, it looks like our 141 Certification will be finished by the end of October. We will still offer our current packages, though we will also add a few 141 training programs as well. Check our website for more exciting upcoming news in the next couple of weeks!

It has been about 6 months. Though it was only in my hands for about two weeks. The rest of the time it was sitting on my former POI's desk.

What we had going for us is that I have been through the 141 process with a previous school a few years earlier, and we also have a 135 Certificate, so we know how to play the game.

Michael,

Im not to familiar with the whole certification meaning for part 141, 135, etc. What does this all mean as for CPS going part 141?

Waiting on the word from SLM regarding financing...... Although it's only been a week or so. Also, finally sold my motorcycle. One down and one to go.

it means lower times to get through things due to higher standards. It also means possibly more funding available among other benefits.

Chris:

141 Certification won't affect you or your training at all unless you select to go that route. It is our intention to work with GI's returning from Iraq in our 141 program rather than the typical students. Though anyone CAN and WILL be able to enroll in our 141 programs once they are totally certified.

Michael

PS: Part 135 deals with air charter, so no worries there!

This is fantastic news for us here at CPS. For you career oriented guys just starting out, if you go the 141 route, you can get your Commercial at 190 hours, instead of 250. And yes, it does open up the door for other financing options.
