Classes start on the first of each month.

We have a PI-135 BATD that we are upgrading to the Elite RC-1.

Housing ranges from two bedroom duplexes to 1 bedroom apartments. They are fully furnished and within 15 miles of the airport (the closest are 1.5 mile).

Do you have any pictures of the school? Do most people finish in 3 months? What is the weather like in the fall/winter? Is any of the hours safety pilot time? I know I have a lot of questions, but thank you for your quick response.

What pictures would you like? Our school is based at Executive Beechcraft, the major FBO at New Century Airport (KIXD) in Olathe, KS. We occupy the majority of the upstairs office space. The overall building is great with a lot of room for students to spread out. I work very closely with the management of EB, so they know how important it is to have a quality flight school around.

If you arrive with your PPL, for the most part, the majority (+95%) of the students finished the program in 3 months.

Weather in the fall is awesome. The winters haven't been to bad. Usually the worst month out of the year is February. We usually have 10-12 non-flyable days due to primarily ice and very cold temps.

No safety pilot time is built into the program. If you and another student want to head out together in one of the SEL airplanes, go for it. But we do not require any safety pilot time. All time is PIC with you in the left seat (goes for ME time as well).

Keep those questions coming!

Do you hire instructors after they go through your program?

We do not hire each student that passes through our program. It just isn't possible. If we have a CFI opening and you embody the characteristics we look for in an instructor, than chances are good you will be hired. If you want to build time as quick as possible and leave in a few months, we can help you find a school at which to teach that fits those goals.

MichaelCPS,
What's the difference between the following?
50 Hour Shared Block Time Program $4,500.00
50 Hour Block Time Program $6,000.00

I noticed there is also a 50 hour x-country program for $10k with an instructor. Are either of the aforementioned with an instructor and are either of them logging PIC acting as a safety pilot?

The $4500.00 is with a safety pilot (and you acting as safety pilot for the other pilot), though you have to be able to meet our insurance requirements.

The 50 hour straight up time is with an instructor aboard, all PIC, no safety pilot.

The 50 hour x-country is with an instructor, all PIC, no safety pilot time.
