Default Fall Class Dates

It looks like we are filled through September. The next starting date for either the Career Pilot Program or the Regional Direct Program will be October 1st. Things are really rolling here in Kansas City. We are planning to open up a second midwest location some time in 2008!

Minneapolis, Perhaps?????

I am surprised there isn't a training type of that variety here. There is one in Albert Lea, but not the metro area. Considering the amount of training and reliever airports it seems strange.....

It is on the list, but not the first city to which we are expanding.

The problem with MSP is that there are a ton of traditional flight schools that take up a lot of space at the major airports around town and there is little room for someone to find some space.

Ahem....um...don't know where you're looking, but a city within 50-60 miles of a LARGE airport and affordable cost of living would definitely be a good thing, in my book.

Y'know...sorta like New Century, but in a different place. Austin, TX comes to mind.

Hmmmm. Austin. Hadn't thought of Austin. I am going to have to get down there and check it out. I haven't been down there for a few years.

Yes, that is a problem. At my home field, 3 fbo's w/flt training. The other reliever airports all have a couple of places as well.

Thanks! I wish I could update it more often. But something seems to always get in the way of flying.

I have a good friend that lives out in Waconia. Next time I am up there, I am going to check out Glencoe and Hutchinson.

I've noticed a dearth of flight schools close in to Austin. The one which comes up at Bergstrom (KAUS) doesn't have a stellar reputation and their rates seem a little high. Pilot's Choice in Georgetown has an excellent reputation, but that particular I-35 corridor is a godawful mess in traffic and it's difficult to get up there easily from Austin.

You've a career-oriented school, and to my knowledge (albeit limited) you'd have very little competition there. And access to students (University of Texas) and, who knows....some kind of joint-course credit deal with the U?

Just blue-skying here....

October and November slots are now filled. Anyone interested in a November or December slot?

It looks like we will be bringing on additional aircraft in the coming months. We might open enrollment to 3 Career Pilot/Regional Direct students per month.

We have an opening for a training slot in October and November for two students starting from zero time (ie coming to us with no PPL).

It is definitely on the short list. But definitely more than a few years out.
