Default Professional Pilot Course

I have been working with Career Pilot School (formerly Siegel Aviation) for a little under a year. I enrolled in their Self Paced Career Pilot Program (and concurrently enrolled in UVSC's Global Aviation Program) that takes you from Instrument Pilot through CFI/CFII. Instead of spreading the Instrument Rating course out over several months, I decided to do their 10 day course. While it was the proverbial "drinking from a fire hose," I found that I was well prepared for flying in the system and overprepared for the checkride (the ride was a piece of cake). Right now I am working on my SEL Commercial and should be done some time in April.

I have really enjoyed my time here and would recommend the school to anyone who wants personalized quality aviation education. Just figured I would put in my two cents.

I am going to use your thread to ask a question, instead of starting a new one.

I am interested in the accelerated programs offered by Career Pilot School. I am about to enroll into UVSC and complete my degree, as well. I work full-time, as an agent for an airline, and cannot spend 3 months to complete the entire program, at once. I have my PPL, and am seeking a school that I can take, for example, 10 days at a time, to complete specific ratings, such as instrument, commercial and ME. I plan to do the time building that is needed, in between each rating, locally.

Is Career Pilot School a good match for what I am looking for?

Chris:

Your situation is very common and we deal with it all of the time. We specialize not only in 3-4 month accelerated programs, but 10 day instrument, 4-5 day multi, and various other shorter programs. Our 10 Day Instrument Program is VERY successful. Let me know if I can provide any additional information.

Michael, from all that I have read CPS seems like a great school and seems to really stand-out as a shining star between the likes of ATP where it's more of a fast-paced "self-study" program, and FSA.

I have some specific questions about CPS, but I will PM you with those.
