Classes have started, and after a week I am already sick of them.

I have 4 months left, and have come to the conclusion that I am too mature for the normal college guy crowd. I'm not in a frat, not out drinking on wednesday nights, and going to clubs all weekend.

At this rate I'll be single for the rest of my life.

The place I work for was bought out last year by a company based in Minnesota. This company also has a production facility in Singapore. Slowly most of our production is being sent out there with all new equipment. Its tough to have our current operators get this all new equipment to troubleshoot, which they need badly to replace their 40 year old "magic boxes", just to have them and their jobs snatched away a few months later....

I've worked there for three days now. I've finished orientation (go around and talk to people). I'm mostly going to be working on the microphones, as the one engineer for them has been getting a lot of stuff piled up on him.

So I got that job to make hearing aid parts this summer. I'll probably be testing products and maybe working on some assembly tooling. I start on Monday, I'll find out a lot more then. Its cool that I got an engineering job close to home. Camden is a coastal town, that fills up a lot over the summer, so housing might be an issue. I'm going to try to find a room down there so I don't have to drive an hour and a half (plus) each way. That and spend 60 bucks a week in gas.

Seggy says to go be a FA for Colgan. I have to wonder why he thinks that.

I do have a phone interview on Monday for a place that makes little speakers and microphones...... i.e. parts for hearing aids. We'll see how that goes. If I get it I'll be driving an hour and a half each way to work. Over 500 miles a week. 60 bucks in gas a week. At least I get 35 mpg or so.

I might do the FA thing for a couple months,...
