but honestly, i feel used and abused....

I studied and left everything behind for a frackin' biased exam. I expected well rounded, test on EVERYTHING planning related and instead got questions like "a new bill goes to the state house floor....where does it go from there" (well, it was obviously worded more difficultly such that the entire question had 2 answers (you just had to pick the right one :p)

SAY WHA?? what in the sam hell does that have to do with planning??

and then there were planning questions that related mostly to transportation and citizen participation....hello... where's the zoning....where's the land use....where's the economic development???? oh so biased, i feel cheated.

granted, my field is transportation and i do a lot of citizen participation but the questions were so horribly written that even i had trouble on those...well, you could choose any 3 answers and they'd essentially all be correct.... but if you were the APA, there's only 1 answer so you have to play as if you are the APA...so with that, practicality and experience don't even come into play...and...on top of that, it's all horribly subjective since any one of the 4 answers *could* be correct.

good lord...is the BAR exam like this type of exam or is it only planning that's wacked out to where you really can't even study to help pass it.

now granted, i don't know if i passed it cuz we won't get our results until end of August...but i totally don't feel as though i was given the opportunity for success here.

Took some time off at work today to do some updating (getting the tshirt page ready to go)..getting back to life... and BAM...down i went...well, not literally but i haven't had a migraine like headache since, geez, since my last job.

for one thing, I know my stuff for this exam but there is SO MUCH to know, have memorized and so forth that my brain just wants to take a leak...i'm SO ready for this to be over, i just want a brain dump and some freedom. but now the added stressor is work because i essentially have none. granted, i don't have to worry about my job (they need me there) but right now, i'm all overhead because i'm marketing and trying to bring work in yet i have no billable work to currently work on... i'm always waiting for 2 projects to come back with comments and i can just imagine how MANY comments there will be....oh who the hell cares, i'll get to those when i get to them.

see, now i'm just adding to the headache! these things seem to work funny that way don't they?

well, hopefully a few more days and i'll be stress free...but for now, it's excedrin time! :p

I left everything behind to study for a good 4 months straight and I have SO many other things i want to do, i'm already writing a list and aching to get moving!!

the trick now is to knock this puppy outta the water so i don't have to take it again....worst part, i won't even know my results until august :( :panic:

so i'm wondering if i should continue reading books (at least) and doing some studying until i get the results... just in case i have to take it again....or should i go enjoy life and worry about it later?
