Default Registration is now open....

Registration is now open for NetworkJC 2005. Keep in mind that registration is for the event only, which we're presuming will be on Saturday the 22nd of October. Nothing, except the weekend date, is set in stone yet - we're still looking at locations/ideas.

Any outside activities are going to be delegated and finalized via this board as they are unofficial gatherings (ie: 9 Fine Irishmen/Karaoke night/golf etc)

You can register at http://www.jetcareers.com/networkjc/

As soon as you are certain you will be attending (70% and up *certain*), Please register, so we can effectively plan for snacks/beverages.

Any questions, please do ask
Thanks

Is there an unofficial hotel where everyone is staying?

I'd hate to be at a different hotel than everyone else...............

Still not sure what we're going to do with the kids. But I'm damn set on making it out there! And I'm pretty sure I/we will be buying tickets this year.

Gang

You need to fill in all of the fields, even if the answer is no. If not, you will get an error on your application.

yep, all the fields need to be filled out.. but if you miss one, you can use the back button to fill it in and then resubmit it.

No official hotel unless anyone has any good ideas?! Doug and I were thinking about staying on the old side of vegas (Stratosphere) or excalibur cuz those two are fairly inexpensive.

I'm there!

I've already taken that weekend off, and still had credit from my tickets I couldn't use last year. NOT going to miss it this year!!!

Lady Luck.

I have never lost there.

Besides that, the rates are reasonable and the rooms aren't bad. They have a free parking garage for guests and it is in the middle of downtown.

If people are interested in sharing a suite with me, let me know. The cost of them is way high if you have one by yourself but put six people in a room and it gets reasonable.

How about the Bellagio? Only reason is it's one of three casino/hotels there where my truck fits into the parking garage.

Tony, if I can clear it with Nessa, I'd be in for splitting a room/suite. Not sure if she's going to be able to come or not, and I'm still not TOTALLY sure if I'm going. I'm gonna try damn hard, though.

That's cause they gotta be able to fit in all the Hummers and other trucks that are just as tall as yours.

In all seriousness, though, I stayed at the Bellagio one time because the rate there was lower than the rate at the "official convention hotel!"

Ditto, on the Stratosphere. Rates look pretty good right now. I checked them last night and the rates (directly from the hotel site) are running from $319-$369 for 10/21-10/23(checkout) depending on the tower you stayed in and whether or not there was 1 or 2 beds (king/queen). Airfare/hotel packages make it much cheaper than booking directly through the hotel.

I really like Excalibur, even though it's not on the "old" side of Vegas like the Stratosphere is. Wherever is good for me.

Jim,
Is that rate for all three days or per night? I just checked Bally's and it is $498.00 for three nights including tax.

Okay, we're registered.! Gotta wait till September to be 100% sure. I know on the next bid, I'm not senior enought to get weekends off, so I'll have to use some paid vacation to attend. I don't see any problems so far.

Well, I was tossing around some possibilities today, and the places that look like they'd be within the realm of possibility with six to eight people are at the MGM or the TI. I'll take a peek at the Rio -- that's an all suites hotel -- and some of the other less well known ones. But if everyone is going to be staying at the north end of the strip, the TI might be the best place to be.

I'm pricing the Venetian just for [poops] and giggles but I have a feeling it is going to be WAY out of our price range. Let's put it this way. I'm happy to let my company spend 280 Euros a night to put me up in Paris but I ain't spending $280 a night to stay at the Paris in Vegas!

No offense. I vowed to never do that again after my teenage years. It's nothing against anyone, I'm just picky. I can't share a room anymore with more than 2 other people.

Well, if we did a suite, we'd have two queens, and a sleeper and we could get a rollaway.

So that's not crazy anymore! Nobody would have to sleep on the floor.

Seriously, pricing the suites at even the TI and the MGM, and with four, you're looking at $300 for the weekend. So that's probably too rich for most people's blood.
