I just got a new medical about a week ago, and upon further inspection the lady who typed it up managed to spell my street name wrong and put a completely wrong zipcode on it........I just want to make sure this wont be a problem if the address doesn't exactly line up with the one on my pilots license. Thanks!

I think as long as the correct address is on file with the FAA it shouldn't matter. Did they let you verify your info before they issued you medical?

They verified my information, and she even used my drivers license when she typed it up.....I guess she just was going too fast and typed the wrong street name/zipcode. I was kinda in a hurry at the end, and didnt double check it until later in the day. Guess I wont be making that mistake again.

I think you need to remember that above all else: 1. The FAA is a paperwork agency. 2. You as pilot in command are held responsible when others don't do their job. There are plenty of ASI's out there who will gladly ruin your day for something as seemingly trivial as this. Tell the secretary to issue you a correct medical certificate. 1) You can contact http://www.faa.gov/licenses_certific...aq/response15/ and they will issue a corrected copy. 2) If you complete the 8500-8 on-line, then there is nothing for the secretary to screw up. It is already in the computer. |

Had an AME's office say my weight was 275 when it was 215 at the time. Just called them and they reissued it after reweighing me.
