Default Unacceptable color vision test scam

There is a web site that now tells you you can rent a Farnsworth to pass your color vision test. They state "We can help colorblind pilots pass FAA vision requirements quickly, at low cost, and at absolutely no risk of being singled out for failure...Evaluate your vision with the Farnsworth Lantern Flashlight Test, available for rent from ColorblindPilot.com. It is easy to administer and is completely legal for FAA testing." The problem is the FAA states "Unacceptable Tests. Any test not specifically listed above are unacceptable methods of testing for FAA medical certificate. Examples of unacceptable tests include, but are not limited to, the OPTEC 5000 Vision Tester (color vision portion), “Farnsworth Lantern Flashlight,” and “yarn tests.”"

This site rents you the flashlight for $145 (cost to buy a new one is $200) plus a $110 security deposit.

This is a scam - avoid it.
