Does anyone have any words of wisdom on how to get through this thing and what to expect. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's been wrote a time or two here before,
Security
-Print and fill out a SF-86 form and take it with you. If you have been in trouble with the law in the last seven years, get a hold of those records and take them with you.
Medical
-If you have had medical issues and/or substance abuse problems get a hold of all the records you can and take them with you.
*If you have been convicted of use of illegal drugs (or have done drugs and admit to it) in the last two years you won't be hired.
