Hello Everyone!

This is my first post! I applied 02/08 & have followed everything posted here since!. Thanks to everyone for the valuable info!!!!

I selected CO & HI, terminal & en route. I haven't seen anyone who chose HI at all. Does this enhance my chances? My father & I recently sold a company my grandfather created 80 years ago. So, I have "some" income I can live on for a while & sustain the HIGH cost of living in HI if I am chosen. My background is in corporate aviation (have a degree for the work experience req).

Thanks again!

So, unfortunately, all of us that have been waiting patiently to get hired are going to have to wait at least another 3 weeks before we're going to hear anything! Also, she said that they haven't decided when they are going to be meeting for the announcement that closed in May, this is only the February announcement!

Also, she informed me that if you put down "additional" areas in the comment section, you aren't going to be considered for those states that you put down in the comment section. They are only going to consider you for just the two states you selected at the top of the webpage.

Just curiously, where did everyone select as their two states? Maybe we can get a poll going and see where the more popular areas are!

I promised my fiance that I would do what I can to keep us in Kansas City, so I ended up selecting Kansas and Missouri. I'm hoping that I'll hopefully get ZKC Kansas City Enroute since I live in Olathe, and the move would be fairly easy for me!
Yikes
I got the geo pref email and couldn't log in to put in info at first. I then put in my email again and ended up at someone else's info. Then got my own. I informed FAA careers division that they had a problem with there system and I had seen someone's info. That is why everyone got those emails because they were having problems like mine with there system.

I choose center only. CO and HI

Hey dofficalatc, I thought HI doesn't have any centers?
You might want to double check and remove HI if that is the case (otherwise you're just wasting a selection, right?)

Anyways, I choose HI and CA (counties in the SF Bay Area), with terminal only option.

Hey if anyone plans on talking to the FAA in the next or two, would you also ask them when everyone should find out if they have been selected to a state?

I haven't heard anything yet, but saw where it officially takes 2-4wks after panel meets to find out. However, I think MOST people find out within the first 2 weeks.

Maybe I should relax, but if I don't make SC, it will be well over a year by the time I get to OKC. Totally anxious about finding out something.

Well technically it is the "Honolulu consolidated facility". I've seen trainees from HCF come through the terminal radar course at OKC, so I'm not sure it's actually considered an ARTCC. I'm pretty sure Guam is considered an ARTCC, though.

Cool Re: Got some info about the February Announcement Referral L

Okay I am very excited I picked Virginia in hopes to be in the D.C area and I also picked Puerto Rico... Do you think I will have a high chance of getting these locations? and what if we don't get picked at the locations we chose they wont put other locations into consideration??? does anyone know anything about the Virginia or Puerto Rico stations?

Thanks
*Kat
