Default Associates degree enough to apply?

I'm getting a degree outside aviation, and then want to apply for ATC in the future(3-4 years from now). Will I still need a 4 year degree and 3 years work experience, or be a grad from a CTI School??

Now is the best time to get into ATC. 1) You'll start putting time towards your 20 years for retirement, 2) you'll establish your seniority, and 3) you'll start doing what you want to do. Isn't that the objective of a degree in the first place? Currently, you need either a 4 year degree OR 3 years work experience, or some combination of both. Who knows what the requirements will be in 4 years?

You're asking about an associates degree, but you're also asking about applying 3-4 years from now. An associates should take you 2 years max - what's the holdup for the other 1-2 years before applying?

Do you CPC's recommend a bachelor's? I want to get my associates and then get hired, but my parents are going to make me get my bachelors. I told them I would gain seniority and would finish my bachelors later in life.
