Default Walnut Gardens

Has anyone on this forum stayed at the Walnut Gardens? If so, what are your thoughts concerning it? I booked a large efficiency apartment, however am now wondering if I should've gone with the 1 bedroom, for an extra $5/day. What's the difference between the two, other than the 1 bedroom having an enclosed bedroom? Also, are there any nearby stores or restaurants? Thanks.

I'm there. Had a buddy who got put in the efficiency because his room wasn't available yet and he didn't like it...not much room apparently. The 1 bedrooms are nice enough. For stores and stuff, I usually just hit up Walmart and all the other places near it. Buffalo wild wings is where a lot of us find ourselves too. All this is one big area near the freeway and MacArthur...not far at all. There's some smaller restaurants nearby but all I've done with those is drive right past them.

I wouldn't call it a death trap inside here. There's worse places for sure. I would just do the I Am Legend approach and not wander around when the sun goes down. Other than that, it's fine. I am a fan of nice safe places and this works for me...temporarily.
