Are you still breathing? If so then pretty good.

hahaha! I actually laughed out loud at that, good thing half the office called in sick today or they'd think I was losing it.

I got an 88 on the test and I haven't been called yet.

ATL is right, as long as you passed, you'll probably have a shot.

You're insane dude. I passed by the skin of my teeth. So far, I've got the lowest score on this board at 72.5. I wish I got a score in the 80's.

I'm hoping that the race card gives me a bump. I do have a four year degree and five years of diverse work experience (legal, government, and finance) so hopefully, other factors are taken into consideration.

I do wonder how many people flat out fail.

From what I've read, your score of 72.5, is the same as mine, 82. They only show "qualified" and "well qualified". The rest is just for bragging rights.

I think that your odds are pretty good, simply because you were invited to take the AT-SAT. I seriously don't know of anyone, who has passed the AT-SAT, who hasn't eventually been at least tentatively offered a job.

It looks to me like they do most of their screening people out prior to issueing invites to take the test, simply because it costs the region sponsoring you to take the test something like $800 to have you sit there and take it.

So, congrats on having been invited to test, and having passed. It's been taking about a year, from application date to academy date, so sit back and enjoy the ride.........

Good luck!!!

Yah I didn't wanna say anything Sooner heh...

While waiting to take my ATSAT I was hangin' out talking to this guy and girl. The guy tells the girl "Well since you're female you're automatically in. Just like when I tried to be a cop, I got denied but all the females who tried out made it. I'm sure that's why you got your job now." Since she is currently employed as a cop.

I thought to myself smooth, real smooth.

Maybe he got denied cause he is a sexist dickhead?

I'm female and I don't feel like anything is owed to me just because I was born with boobs

This ought to be the most pathetic statement I ever read on this website, which incidentally is owned/moderated by an accomplished african-american pilot who I am sure would gripe at the idea that a "race card" may be his only gateway to a cockpit.

I guess to each their own: while some members of ethnic minority groups are actually proud and talented individual who put effort into things and welcome fair competition and selection-hence playing an ACTIVE role in accomplishing their goals, others simply like to hope for affirmative action to enable to them to cut in front other, possibly more qualified, candidates of a different, non-minority race.

Yah, same here. I'm a female, and have never taken a donation from anyone. I've worked hard to get where I'm at now, and will be working hard to certify as a controller. I have always worked full-time, all the while going to college 3/4 to full-time. On top of that, I'm married and jointly we have a 1 year old and a 6 year old. My life's very busy, and I have worked very hard to get where I'm at now, and jointly, my family has made a whole lot of sacrifices to get me where I'm at now. It's the 21st century, women and men are on an even playing field. Men who don't feel that way, really need to get over it.

Yah, she didn't really seem offended or bothered at all. My guess is that wasn't the first time she had heard that.
