| OKC daily pay? Hey guys. New to the site, but I've read a bit over the past few days. Wondering if anyone can confirm wether or not you get a daily pay of around 80 bucks or so, plus your lowly hourly wage of 18K a year while training at OKC. I only ask because my brother's an ATC in Atlanta and tells me when he went back in like 1990 he got the 80 a day. Then he says they stopped doing that but he had heard they just very recently started doing that again.
Keeping my fingers crossed, applied for the open position that closed on 2/15, taking my AT-SAT 3/28 and my bro's telling me I would be a shoe-in. |

| Re: OKC daily pay? The per diem rate is $79.20/day tax free. You submit a receipt for your lodging and they pay you for the number of days you paid your rent.
$2455 per diem (for a 31 day month) + $1882 base pay = $4337
It's a little less after the base pay is taxed..but that's pretty much it.
Also, your base pay depends on the locality pay you get. I think it's based on the area your facility is in. |

| Re: OKC daily pay? With the FAA taking that huge pay cut it's not even worth it for me to leave the Air Force. I work at KGSB. I've probably talked to you "JimmyK" - RV are the initials. |

| Re: OKC daily pay? What does one do with their current stuff in their hometown when they leave for OKC? I currently rent an apartment, will I make enough in OKC to pay for both places ($650 p/m in Columbia) or should I pack my stuff to a storage until while I'm gone?
Hey BadPassportPhoto that is pretty quick on the AT-SAT test date. I applied in 08-2007 and didn't take the test until 03-07-2008. How did you manage that? (If I pass) I'm hoping my interview will come quick if they are stepping up the process.
Waiting on test score... |

As for getting my response, I've read quite a few people who've had even a quicker response time than me for applying for the most recently closed opening. I read somewhere pretty recently how they want to boost up the hiring process, and how it will no longer take months to get things done. Forgot where that was though, my woman printed it off the internet and showed me when she got home from work.
I applied to last year's opening too and I never heard anything. I changed no steps in applying this time, just logged into the account I had and clicked apply a few days before it closed. |

I do everything I can to stay out of the radar room so my exposure to you guys is limited, pretty much just getting my monthly flight data currency or late at night when I work a mid shift.
