I'm interviewing in Miami in two weeks and I'm going to DVT!!! Anyone know about what kind of training time DVT has?

I understand you have an interview but how do you know that you are definently going to get it. Also how do you know where you are going exactly already? Anyways good luck!

I spoke to someone yesterday. I picked AZ over NV. I then called someone else they put me on the PEPC for Miami. Then I don't plan on failing my interview and I already hold a secret clearance so I can't see me failing the background check and I'm not crazy or on drugs. So I think I'm a shoe in.

Kenie311 how were you notified of the DVT position, I thought you did not find out the offer until you were interviewed? It sounds like you applied for the AZ posting that ended last July, as did I, but I have yet to hear anything; any info from you would be helpful. Did you call someone to find out you were specifically going to DVT, and if so who?

I called 405-954-4657, then I told them that I knew I was on an interview list and I wanted to make sure I didn't miss the email. They sent me to some women and she sent me to some guy, I think his name was Richard. He told me that I had been choose by Reno and Deer Valley. He told me to pick one, which I picked Deer Valley. I then asked him if I could get in on the Miami PEPC he told me to call Zoey. I called her and she schedule me for the 18th. I am sorry, but I can not find the paper that I wrote everyone's phone number on. If I find it I will post it.

I just acted like I knew I was on an interview list and then just ask to speak to the person that is in charge of that list. If they give you a number, don't leave a message, just keep calling it. I called one number for two hours, but they picked up and I got right to the point with them. Just be real nice and they didn't seem to mind to help me out. Good Luck!!

I work at SDL just down the road from DVT. DVT is a level 8 and works ALOT of training traffic, lots of touch and gos. They just got a new tower not too long ago, I havn't been inside but I understand its really nice.

how long after you got your test results did you wait to call and get all the info?

I took the test at the begining of Jan. Then I was put on the referral lists at the end of Jan and first half of Feb. I was told I was on the interview list for ATL at the end of Feb.

I called begining of March to find out what was going on. They told me I was on the interview list for Reno and DVT. I told him I wanted to go to DVT. He said he would release my spot being held by Reno. I then contact Zoey and asked if I could attend the Miami PEPC, she said yes. She emailed me and I had to confirm the email, then an hour later she sent me an email staying when and where. All of this occurred on the same day. So now I am heading to Miami next Tuesday and then we will do some more waiting until the final offer letter is received.

I was on the list for ATL but now it says "Another candidate has been chosen" blah blah blah, do you think I should bother calling OKC or wait til the next referral list comes up?

You guys are so motivated, I never even considered calling!!!

I plan on calling as soon as the referral lists are up. But I always need to know what's going on. My husband thinks I'm a nut for doing all this research and reading, but you've got to be prepared for what's going to happen next. And sometimes, like Kenie is proving, you have to go after it yourself!!!

Besides, he'll thank me for it.
