I just found out today that A) I'm interviewing for IOWA

, and B) that my pre-employment screening "could take up to six months".....

.....does that sound wrong or is it just me?

thats what it could take, If I were you I would call Zoey lenker or teri adams and see if you can get in the MIA PEPC or the ATL PEPC. Ive heard of people getting to the academy only 1 month after they finished the PEPC. Good Luck and congrats on being selected. And no I will not trade with you..haha

so if you are going to the PEPC you are hire already?? I thought it was an interview?

Why are you surprised by Iowa? You had it listed, didn't you? If that's the case, you should have known it was a possibility.

codwell, the PEPC is the whole pre-employment process combined into one day. If you pass the interview, you move along to the different areas ehich includes the medical, psychological and then security clearance. They will give you a tentative offer the day of the PEPC containing your facility information, pay and such. After that, they will complete the background check and anywhere from two weeks to anytime after that (depending on what kind of background info you have), you will recieve a final offer and then an OKC date. It appears more common to be waiting two months after the PEPC to go to OKC though from what other ots's and cti's have said.

I guess I am going to have to call and see what dates I can get hooked up for the PEPC or whatever. I am on the Iowa listing as well. Looks like I am going to be making a few phone calls before work tomorrow.
