Newbie! A couple of questions, too

Hi everyone!
I am probably at the lowest rung of everyone here..I haven't even applied to be ATC yet. In fact, I missed the OTS app by two days : (

Any idea on when they may have another posting?

Also, I am a little unclear on the whole process of applying and being hired. Is it apply, get called to test, then interview, then OKC?

I was also wondering if, when you pick your states, you can also rank the towers within that state. I didn't think you could, but I have seen some of you list them out in your preferences.

I think this is all for now. I'm sure that I will post some more questions once they come to me!

Who knows when they'll have another OTS posting. I heard the most recent posting was for 2009 hires so it might be a while. My process was: apply>at-sat>get selected to a state>interview>tentative offer>medical,psych, background check>firm offer>OKC. I'm still waiting on my firm offer and class date.

When i applied last June it was not for a national listing. Each state had a separate listing so you could apply only to the states that you wanted. If they send you a tentative offer you could reject it and tell them you want a different state, but who knows if you'll get it.
