This is important, because if there is a problem that uses a time that is less than an hour, you should use the appropriate decimal.
My problem from earlier.
D = R x T
? = 320 x .25 (15 minutes is one quarter of an hour)
80 = 320 x .25
I hate to spell it out so simply, I know you guys aren't dumb, but getting a strong hold on these questions is important. |
no not dumb but realy rusty been some years no i take care of patients in hyperbaric chambers dont need no math for that ant cant rember much any way so thanks for your help |

| Re: ATSAT Scores Well since we are asking questions about the math part, I've got one..
the questions that ask:
plane X(300mph) and plane Y(500mph) pass each other going opposite directions. After 15 minutes how far apart will they be?
what the H?!? d= [(300) x (.25)] + [(500) x (.25)] ?? So is the anwer: 200? or am I way off?
I can't do these very easily in my head. The math part isn't timed per question, is it?
If you can't tell, I am testing on Monday and am starting to freak out a little!!

| Re: ATSAT Scores That's exactly how you do that problem. Find the distance of one plane from the meeting point after 15 minutes and add the distance that the other plane will be at. 75+125=200.

| Re: ATSAT Scores I took my AT-SAT test in Arlington TX on March 7 and still haven't received my scores back. I've been checking the ASAP page constantly for the last couple of weeks and just checked a couple of minutes ago. Is there anyone else in the same position as I am? Is there anyone else that took the test in Arlington? and have you received your test scores back yet? |

Thanks Stinger- I hate to admit this but I minored in math, but that was a few years ago and I mix up a lot of the basics. The "pregnancy-brain" doesn't help either!

Go to the user information tab and then click on test information, it will be there if it is posted. I have heard some people waiting up to 14 days to get results.

| Re: ATSAT Scores I took my test in ATL last Friday and got my scores back today. I got a whopping 85.9. I was hoping for at least a 90 but I kind of bummed some questions and the beginning of the angles section and got stuck on a couple of math questions buts its all good. Anyone know what scores are considered well qualified and just qualified? And also during the selection process for the interview do they group the well-qualified applicants together and qualified together and choose from that or go from highest score to lowest. I doubt they do but trying to give myself a little hope. Do you all think I have a chance of getting in with that score? |

| Re: ATSAT Scores I took the test on monday 3/17 and got my score back on 3/21. I received a 99.9. I didn't think it was that hard, but I didn't think I was going to do that well because of the simulator. But every other section I did well on. I didn't use a study guide or anything. |

| Re: ATSAT Scores I took the test on 3/3 here in Seattle and received the results exactly 10 business days later. Overall I felt the test went smoothly, though I was pressed for time during the analogy section, and ended up having to fill in the last 10 questions with only 1 min left. In our room of 15, I was second to last done (took plenty of breaks between sections) but scored 95.7. So perhaps going slow was to my benefit. |

I found this paper by the FAA in May 2007 within it it does state the "well qualified" canididates will be offered employment before "qualified" ones. So if some people scored high and werent offered a job I assume it was due to other factors. |

| Re: ATSAT Scores Do the directions on that ATSAT explain how to do each test portion? I have the new "green book" and have been using the cd as preparation, but there's no instructions on what to do with each test part. So I don't know how to go about the Letter box factory or the ATST part (planes flying all over the place at various speeds). Also, if anyone knows how to do these on the software cd I mentioned, that'd be helpful! |

Have you downloaded the update yet?
The actual test gives you very detailed instructions. Most of which are the same on the green book's cd. |

| Re: ATSAT Scores It seems that every one who has posted their AT-SAT Scores has received a passing score, but has anyone NOT received a 70 or better? Seems there are a lot of people passing, but just wondering how many, (if any) haven't?
Took the test last week in OKC and results took 2 business days...PASSING, WOO HOO |

| Re: ATSAT Scores How is it that you all do so well with that math section? Granted, I know the questions aren't brain teasers but even practicing with the green book, I still need scratch paper.
I take the test on Wednesday and I'm a bit concerned that my math skills will heavily drag down my score. |
