hey man I'm an OTS not VRA but there is alot of talk on www.stuckmic.com about military controllers and the faa. This site doesnt seem to have to much on here about atc in general. There is also another site www.atccti.com, there are many veteran controllers who post on that site as well. Good luck
I spent about half my career in North Carolina, and I've got no complaints about it. Which part of NC is the ANG job in?
Many of the ZDC controllers I knew lived a long way from Leesburg, due to the high cost of living in the Northern Virginia/DC area. I don't know anyone at PCT nor anything about the cost of living in Warrenton. Here's a link to the Natca PCT website... it has some contact info. Maybe someone there can help you with your decision:
Thanks for the links. I've got some thinking to do.The ANG unit it east of Charlotte. I lived in Raleigh for a year and loved it. My wife and I both like the area.
