Default Proud to be...

...an American!

I know the relationship between the FAA and the Controllers is rough and crazy.
With that wrote- I'm close to becoming a trainee but ATC isn't horseshoe's or hand-grenades...or is it? DoD? Anyway, I have applied for jobs in the past only to hear "we strongly encourage minorities, females, workers with disabilities and veterans to apply." I agree with letting one of those groups ahead of me, hands down, and I thank those people for their service.
Maybe it's the conservative inside me, but just like anyone reading this, I did not choose the color of my skin or gender. I wouldn't change it if I could. Scary thought though.
I am thankful that the FAA has given me a fair opportunity to prove my intelligence by letting me take the AT-SAT. No matter the FAA's situation, or mine.
Whether I make it or not, I am proud of my Government for giving me a fair chance to better myself and family.
God Bless America, Land That I Love!
