| hi guys i'm a foreing military officer and i have attend all the courses that the US navy has (ATC,ARATC,CATC,AATC)so, i'ld say that i'm quite qualified i'm going to finish my service in my navy and i was looking for a job in the US,i know that u should be an US citizen but i don't think this is such a big problem, do u know how to apply or where i can find some phone numbers for the FAA?any contractor agency? wich between contractors and FAA has better salary? do u guys know how and if is possible to bacame also an ICAO certified? thanks to all for your time!! |

| As far as working for the FAA it says: Applicants must be U.S. citizens. You can find this information from the FAA website. http://www.faa.gov/jobs/job_opportun...c_controllers/ I don't know what contract controllers qualifications are except having a CTO for at least a year maybe two. |

| i remember foreign military running around while i was attending atc school in pensacola... nice to see you on these forums. you need to become a u.s. citizen to control air traffic here. there is no waiver for that prerequisite. www.serco-na.com thats one of the faa contractors and they pay more then you would make in the faa depending on where you end up but there are pro's and con's with that pay. you can make $30.64 working in Bethel,AK ![]() |
