According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median salary for an air traffic controller is more than $100,000.

i just hope that LOT gets a tower, that airport is a pain in the ass when its MVFR/IFR with no air to ground radio, and runs big delays for IFR arrival/ depature traffic.

Unfortunately I don't think LOT will be getting a tower anytime soon. It does get quite busy though.

Dont know about the sims but it is a 4 year degree, not cheap either. As for the tower, I heard next 2-3 years but does not seen like they are making any progress. It gets really busy expecially during the nascar races in joliet during the summer months. During that time there is actually a temporary tower established to control traffic.
