| My buddy was doing a daily entry @ KDAL and heard Love Appch directing him to Love Twr. He responded his callsign and intentions to transfer- paused and then switched. Since Love Twr cleared him #2 for 13L, he continued. Turns out they're trying to violate him for spacing under 3 miles- he can't even hear the tapes in question. Also indicated there might be other pilots popped the same day. Did they get a new Sheriff? He doesn't have a lot of money for attorney and his AOPA expired. Any ideas? Thanks |

| I'm not sure I really follow this... I pilot can not be held responsible for 3 mile separation. There is no way for a pilot to accurately determine separation from other aircraft. Maybe he was issued a clearance and did not follow it causing the controller to have less then 3 miles separation ? That case would be a pilot deviation... I would need more info to give any advice. |

| Air Traffic Controller | Can you reference us with a link? Could be possible that the pilot didn't maintain a certain assigned speed resulting in reduced sep minima, albeit, at a certain point on final speed restrictions are canceled automatically anyway.
