Default Max age requirement

Does anyone know if the FAA is even considering the possibility of raising the age limit to 36, like DOD did about a year ago? Just curious, because it seems like they (The FAA) are cutting themselves short by not hiring already qualified controllers.

I have heard hundreds of rumors in the past few months but unfortunately that is not one of them... anything is possible but I doubt they will extend the hiring age.
