Default Interesting how things are linked up

So I wear contacts and after sleeping with them on for a night I developed a bad eye infection. Went to the ophthalmologist and got pescribed "TobaDrex". Glad I had insurance otherwise those eye drops would have cost me $80.

Anyways, the point of this thread was that when I put these drops on, I can taste them in my throat. How are the eyes linked up to that?

The tear ducts connect to the nose and the drops migrate down the back of the throat onto the tongue. Simple anatomy

Is that like when the doctor sticks the flashlight thingy in your ear he's looking to see if the light's reflecting off the opposite wall?

Good to know. That would explain why I had a runny nose when my eyes were irritated. Really interesting stuff. Thanks!
