Default Ganglion Cyst - Treatments. . .

Doc,

It seems I have developed a Ganglion Cyst on the backside of my right hand, just beyond my wrist.

I've heard these things are really not a big deal, and I'm planning on heading to my local Doc to have it treated.

My primary concern though is, I'm going to the doctor tomorrow, and have to fly on Thursday morning.

Most people I've spoken to have told me there really won't be any pain or soreness, but I'm obviously just concerned that I'll be that one person that has some pain / soreness.

Thoughts?

I would not worry about it. He will probably just inject it.

Rog, that's what I've been hearing. Just wasn't too sure of any issues after the fact.

How's it going fellow ganglion cyst brother! I've got those in both of my wrists on the backside. It took a long time for anyone to figure out that's what I had, but for the most part the pain for me kind of comes and goes and isn't constant.

I don't really think it's all that big of deal since they never really did much with mine. There's a way that they can go in and drain them but I never had that done. If it ever gets bad enough that your hands go numb, that would probably be a good time to have someone take a better look at it. Mine were doing that for a while, but it seems like for the past several months they haven't bothered me as much as they used to.

Let me know how things go with it. Talk to you later.

Hmm, yeah. I'm pretty much set to goto the Dr. on Monday or Tuesday of next week.

Since it's the first, and hopefully last, I'm just a big baby and don't want to see them develop or get larger and affect my ability to work.

I have (had) one on the same exact spot on my right wrist. It seems to be dormant now for a couple of years.
