Default Medical problem

I was recently disqualified for my ATC medical due to a minor subdural hematoma. I have sent all paperwork associated with this event to them. This was a very minor event with no present or foreseeable affects from it. I really want to request a reconsideration for this. Is there any chance of that happening? Are there any kinds of special medicals for ATC? I've read FAA order 3930.3a and 8500.1d, is there any other info that can help me with this?

Are you a member of NATCA?

Subdural hematomas are caused by trauma or a spontaneous rupture of a vessel in the head. They usually want to wait 2 years before they consider a medical and then they will want a neurology consult plus imaging studies - depending on the cause of the bleed. Some people develop seizures in the first year or so after a subdural hematoma, that is their concern.

Uh oh. Are the symptoms just a red blemish on the skin? If so, i remember him looking at mine and just blowing it off. I don't know if that's what I have or not.

No. A subdural hematoma is inside the skull. The only way you "see it" is with a CT or MRI scan.
