Default Corrective lenses...

I have "Must wear corrective lenses" on my medical cert. Does this mean I have to wear glasses or will contacts suffice? Thank you!

Contacts will suffice. In the "old days", you used to have to take the vision test with and without correction (glasses). That is no longer the case.

They even allow multi-focal contact lenses now.

So I DO NOT have to remove my contacts when I go get my 1st class from the same doctor I've been going to for years? Just want to verify.

Thanks. I am switching from glasses to contacts. Glasses have been much too annoying. Just making sure the faa allows them. Thanks!

Sounds like you may wear contacts at your flight physical, but you will still have the restriction on your medical.

Thats fine with me, I'm just tired of having to take two eye exams everytime I go. I memorized the sequence on every line a loooong time ago.
