| Hey Doc, Quick question for you. I have been experiencing some pain down in the area where my prostate is. The pain isn't excrutiating but is noticeable. I don't have any other symptoms or pain with it. (no fever, blood, sex problems etc.) Basically it feels like there is a golf ball shoved up there and sitting for long periods really makes it worse. I am a little hestiant to go to my GP as I know what he will have to do. I know that in my present condition, any prodding will hurt like h*ll. I am 47 and in good health. Do you think this will resolve on its own? I have had this for about 10 days or so. What are your thoughts? Thanks in advance. |

| It sounds like prostatitis, an infection of the prostate. Go get seen and get on some antibiotics. Untreated, this can put you in the hospital |
