I was wondering if being diegnosed with Celiac's disease (gluten Alergy) will cause you to lose your medical?

Not necessarily. If it is well controlled and managed there is no problem. If yoyare having problems with diarrhea, weight loss, etc. it may be a problem.

no problems now. With a strict Gluten free diet i show no symptoms and have no stomach problems and my weight is stable. I was a little worried about getting tested for the disease because i did not know what would happen if I was diagnosed. Here is another question though. I'm not looking for a job right now (I'm still getting my commercial rating) but when I'm done flight instructing and am looking for a serious job as an airline pilot, should i disclose the fact that i have this disease with the prospective employer? Thanks for your help -Matt |

That will be your call. I don't think they can ask you and they have no access to your medical records.
